Rear speaker issue

Hey guys, I just got some new 4x6 speakers for the back of the truck. They came with a plug and play harness which popped in perfectly. The problem is I don’t hear anything. I do have a small Ken wood radio I had Best Buy put in a couple years ago. Am I missing something here? Is there a harness that plugs into my new radio or what? I assumed once I plugged in the factory plug up the speakers they would work. Thanks guys

Make sure your fader isn't set all the way forward. Are your front speakers working?

First check the fader setting.  

 

If that isn't it, I'd wonder about the radio install.  If the installers used a plug and play harness adapter, all the wires should be hooked up.  But if they cut the factory plugs off and spliced wiring to the new radio pigtail, they may have noticed you didn't have rear speakers and didn't bother hooking them up.  I doubt a business would cut a corner like that, but there no way of knowing without checking.

Yep. They are nice and loud. When I set my fader to the rear there is no sound.
