Eagle
A friend in town is parting out what's left of his stepson's 2000 TJ. He asked me what I thought he might be able to get for the tires and wheels. There are five, on factory 15x8 rims. Tires are Coopers, and he says they don't have much tread left but they hold air. My feeling is that any value is in the wheels. The tires just make shipping a problem, but he's looking for a local sale through Facebook Marketplace. What do y'all think I should tell him? Pete M
I'd probably ask 300.
gogmorgo
I just paid $350 for a set of oem wheels for my Lada. Same situation, tires aren’t worth anything. But it was only a set of four. Junkyard price will usually be $50/wheel at least around here. But these look to be in decent shape, and the 15x8 tend to be a little more desirable. NHMJXJ
I would ask $350 and take $300 if they're all as clean as the one pictured. A quick FeeBay search turned up listings for Canyon wheels from $90-$140 each.
pizzaman09
Tires mounted on the wheels usually lower the value.
