dragordie
25 years plus building Cjs,YJs,TJs,XJs,MJs,&ZJs for off-road competition. Building my own frames, suspensions, skids, rockers, roll cages, boat side's, bumpers. So now I have sold off my equipment and closed my shop. Only to get the bug 🪲 back. Purchased a 87 Comanche with a lot of potential. Well going in a different direction with this little guy. Only factory option is power brakes. It's a 4 speed 2.5 4 popper with manual steering 2 wheel drive. My intentions are to see how low I can get it the pavement.

Other then the lines shaft and box. The pump was free. so I purchased everything else and did the swap from manual to POWER STEERING!!! And you can't see it but I also added to the box a Stock pitman arm from a TJ. Just to get the geometry correct with the TracBar and draglink.

Pete M
love it!   do be careful about the XJ shackles. when coming down off a hoist, it's possible for them to invert and bed the main leaf up. just keep an eye on them.

dragordie
It will flow with the body lines when I mount it permanently. I am needing to set it back another 3 inches. Than the sides will line-up with the front fender flairs. It be fine. I like it. Also going to be applying for membership with SCCA with Toxic Orange. Was shocked that they have a Chapter 40 miles from me. Hoping to have it painted and a few other addons completed before the end of May. Than hit the track. Don't care if it's slow. Still will have a blast. SoCalJeepComanche I do respect your opinion.

dragordie
Sorry for the pipe dream. I just can't keep moving forward with this build. With my history of building a lot of nasty bad A$$ Jeeps. I just can't keep on with lowering this Comanche. So erasing the chalk from the drawing board. Here are a couple pics of old tack off's and new parts. Will show what the changes are in a couple days.
