Saved one from the crusher. However it's been registered as scrap and can never be titled again. This Jeep is completely fixable. Frame is good, no rust on the bed, floor pans are good. Small amount of rust on cab corners and hood. It does not run but will start with starting fluid. 4.0l, 5 speed. 120k miles. Big score with the service manuals. Even got the tail lights. I'm not sure if I'm keeping it for parts or this would be a good candidate to convert to 4x4, jack it up and make a trail rig. Maybe a little bit of both.052efd8ba0aed856deff3975b0fba041.jpge2c5a032a68da19676c2af7c2804b9de.jpg4cb3330e7dad62ce5593f20969ea69a5.jpg674df846d230860c4b105cf3435277a1.jpg106452ac6120c3c3ae0c07c32286d3c5.jpgb40cac6126368be3ad03c3aa2030025b.jpg4339c912c84cd3d73c3492b231908740.jpg

Thanks for the info. I was hoping it had the Asin tranny and not the Peugot. It has a decal on it saying Heavy duty 2250. Does it have the metric ton? It does have the dana 44 axle. Truck has been in a field somewhere since 2002. At least that's the last state inspection sticker. Body is extremely straight and the bed is awesome. I think the camper shell is the Comanche specific. It's a perfect fit. Too bad the junkyard had already listed it as scrap and it can't be retitled. Windshield is junk but rest of glass is good. I think it is a good candidate to turn into a trail rig.

I went through and cleaned up the common reused codes for ya. :L:

can you share a pic of the leafs?  4+1 and 3+2 were the metric ton varieties.  3+1 is the normal leaf pack.

you build date indicates you have the AX-15. :D  3-9-89 was the last of the peugeots.

Your right About the tranny. I had totally misread that date. My other one was built on 3-6-89 and is literally one of the last ones. I'll try to get a pic of the leads this weekend.

metric tons were all longbeds.  but parts can be swapped around.

Its a long bed.  Thought I had bought a short bed with the dana 44.  I just measured the bed.  Its just over 7 foot long.  Thing full of surprises.  I just hooked up a battery and all the lights and stuff came on.  Wouldn't turn over though.

It is a factory metric ton, the G (GVWR, 5001-6000) in 4th position of the VIN confirms it, an F would be standard payload (GVWR, 4001-5000). And the 2 in the body code that eaglescout526 listed is for a LWB.

Step one: buy most rusty mj you can find.

Step two: dash swap the 2 trucks

Step three: THIS IS THE IMPORTANT ONE!!

Don't do this.
Lol...yeah, I just don't know. I'd love the trail rig idea but I don't have anywhere within 6 hours of me to ride it. And I don't own a trailer. There are a ton of good parts on this truck. And it's completely fixable. No rust in the floorboards. Small amount in cab corners. Engine turns over but I don't know the fuel system status. Ain't nothing that can't be fixed or put on a third truck my wife would kill me if I buy.
