sammisox
This is my 89 Eliminator. Back in October I found this little manche in the town next to mine. According to the PO it had been sitting for 2ish years and he got it to the point where it would run. Right now it’s at the shop getting the engine looked at. It’s got an ugly side, but the cab and bed are straight it just needs a fender replacement. I don’t have a time-frame and my budget kinda depends on the day, but my plan is to get it back to its former eliminator glory. I lovingly call it “hooptie truck” to go along with my xj that I call “heep.” These are the photos the PO had listed in the ad.
89 MJ
Looks like a great candidate for restoration, or if you could find a Colorado Red fender, I'd drive it as is (once its running right of course).
sammisox
Here are some of the first photos I took of it when I got it back home. The interior was all there, even the floor mats, but it was filthy.
sammisox
My truck also came with some cool documents. Sticker price was $13,627 and I paid a fraction of that!

sammisox
Some pics from when we took an impromptu drive up to Tulsa a while back. It was my first time getting to see a Comanche in a junkyard. We went to two yards cause they each had one truck. Got some rear fender flares to keep as extras, a bed mat, some header panel pieces and a couple inside trim pieces. I wish I’d had a trailer so I could’ve gotten a bed or larger parts The xj looked nice online but wound up being a crappy repaint.

sammisox
I found this brand new tailgate on Facebook last night. It was down in Texas so my awesome parents went and picked it up for me. It’s never been mounted! I’m so stoked this is my coolest find yet! sammisox
Had some wheels sitting at my parents house for a couple years and I thought I lucked out in having spare eliminator wheels, but it turns out they don’t have the fake rivets. Not sure what I’m gonna do with them, but my dad wants my stash cleared out Plus side of today is I bought a set of mj mud flaps

Pete M
easiest is to just put screws through the handle holes. since I installed a handle, mine was put up with a more traditional approach for large artwork (essentially nesting wedges)

I’d originally gotten them to put on my xj cause I like how they look on the early xj sports, but now I suppose I’ll just keep them as a spare set

My truck is probably going to be colored patchwork here soon while I’m replacing pieces, but I definitely want everything back to Colorado red when it gets repainted
