watchamakalit
I seems I may be obtaining a parts vehicle soon. Not really the way I wanted but you can't change history. Last night on her way home my daughter was texting and driving when she lost control and rolled her zj. Thank God for seatbelts. She walked away with scratches and nothing more. The jeep unfortunately wasnt so lucky. I havent hashed out details with her but I will probably end up with a parts vehicle. I thought the worst when I got the phone call. I am just as guilty of being distracted by a phone while driving, but this was a huge wake up for all of us. Way to close to home. Please encourage eveyone you know to put down the phone while driving. don't DRIVE DISTRACTED!!!!!! High2by
Wow. Glad she's ok!! Too bad the Jeep had to pay for it.
87MJTIM
Vehicles can be replaced; people cannot be replaced. Glad she is OK. I rolled my college roommate's car. I wasn't wearing a seat belt. I walked away without a scratch. Ever since then I wear seat belts.
Drahcir495
Very glad to hear she is doing fine. Thanks for reminding me of the dangers.
mjeff87
I got t-boned in an F450, 4-door full cab with an 8 foot bed, by a Honda Civic (that was driving at about the speed of sound......). It rolled me 1.5 times over the driver side, with the truck ending up resting on the driverside and me dangling from the seat belt inside the cab. Totalled the truck, but I walked away with just a bump on my shin from my leg hitting the lower dash somewhere during the circus show. If I hadn't been wearing the belt (and bear-hugging the steering wheel), I'm not sure what condition, if any, I'd be in today. Glad she is ok. Stuff can be replaced, like others said. WahooSteeler
Holy cow...........glad she is ok! I may share this with my 14yr old daughter even though she does not drive yet. My 18yr son is actually very good about it, but my daughter is like most her age and completely attached to her phone. Can't say I haven't done it, so a good reminder that nothing is that important. Pete M
um, not much unfortunately. steering box maybe? if a v8, then the steering linkage and swaybar if they aren't worn or damaged.
watchamakalit
Its a 4.0 I plan to save the motor for sure looks to me like wheels and tires should swap. Brake booster and master? Tcase, Front axle?
FrankTheDog
Front axle is low pinion with possible cv axle shafts. If not cv they should have the larger u-joints in them. Engine is one of the better versions of the later HO’s. Not much else after that for spare parts. It may have the NP-242 transfer case if it isn’t full time 4wd. watchamakalit
I'm running CV shafts in the front now. I plan to pull them for spares. Will the unit bearings from the hubs swap as spares? Ive made mistakes and tossed usable parts in the past that I wished I hadn't. Just trying to cover bases. If the steering components are in good servicable condition would they be usable? My truck is not a crawler. Just a well loved daily. I'm not planning to swap these parts immediately just saving for emergency needs. cruiser54
MJ have a dana 35? If so, you've got rear discs for it now. If the air bag didn't deploy, save it for some afternoon fun.
