I  bought a brand new starter solenoid for my snow blower tractor, installed it, cranked the engine over, all seemed good. I went to clear snow with it 2 days later and the brand new starter solenoid had failed. :fistshake2:

I installed a different starter solenoid, and it is still not cranking. I will need to do some more digging a different day. I am assuming either this new starter solenoid (different brand before) is also bad, I must have broke a wire when I was hooking stuff back up. :dunno:

check the starter with battery direct or take it back to auto store to run a test on it.

Thanks. I think my issue was that I didn’t have the parking brake set. :dunce:

A fuel pump went out in one of the tractors. I replaced it with another OEM one that I had, but it leaks, so a fuel pump rebuild is coming soon. And I think they both are leaking hydraulic fluid.

Hmmmmm, I have a very nice tractor that doesn't run great, an ok tractor that runs great, and an extra 4.0 that I need to put a new crank in. Anyone want to see me 4.0 swap one of these (the less nice one) come spring or summer?

Did the old swaparoo from winter to spring by putting the tiller on the nicer tractor. They both were parked for a few months and fired right up.
