jon1998
I have a 1989 Eliminator with some issues regarding the air conditioning. The compressor works very well, however it is completely disconnected from the HVAC controls on the dash. Instead of being operated with the switches and sliders, it is turned on with an aftermarket toggle switch located near the transmission power/comfort switch. A positive wire runs from the toggle switch directly to the compressor and a negative wire from the toggle is jammed next to a fuse in the fuse box. The negative wire on the compressor has been cut. Where are the negative and positive wires on the compressor supposed to go? I am very inexperienced in diagnosing both a/c and electrical problems. Thanks in advance for any help. Big Dan
For the 12v positive on the compressor..it will connect to a single lead orange wire that is on the passenger side of the engine bay. The negative cable grounds to the back of compressor. Ill post a picture of the wire tonight.

Big Dan
The orange wire that is under the battery cables is what is I was referring to. It is in the same loom as the low pressure switch (green wires) coming off of the receiver drier.
