Any one use Bardhal fus1on?

Recommended Posts

got a good offer for 5 quaters of bardhal fus1on, it still a few more months for an oil change but i`ll be ready, this oil is supposed to have the bardhal 1 aditive already, but is it really good? does it really have the zinc content that protects from wear?

You can read Amsoil's take on the matter here- https://www.amsoil.com/newsstand/classic-and-vintage/articles/reduced-zddp-and-wear-protection/

Before anyone starts throwing $90 oil changes at a ragged out 200K engine, thinking that they will suddenly achieve high zinc 'protection'..........ain't gonna matter one bit. On a new engine? Sure.

My opinion.

I run regular 10-30 castrol oil in all my 4.0's no matter what the mileage. I just put a 275k 96 engine into my daughters boyfriends 98 XJ this weekend.

Hooked it all up and turned the key and it started like I just turned it off. It had been sitting for 4 years.

Repowered another XJ this past winter with an engine that had been sitting severl years. Cranked that one over several times with out the coil wire then fired it right up.

Don't waste your money on expensive oil.

Rotella is not sold here, but mobil and valvoline are... wait, that supertech brand is actually good? i though they were cheap rebranded walmart garbage

Apparently WalMart re-brands it, but from what I've read, It's pretty decent. (for oils at that cost)
