However, on the 9 bladed model, the shape of the blades is different. This is the one that is available on Amazon. Is one of these better than the other? Anyone have any experience? johnj92131 Posted June 9, 2017 Share Posted June 9, 2017 My advice is to stick with the factory fans and the stock cooling set up. When it is properly running, the stock cooling system is great. I went thru this issue last summer with a couple of problems. 1) I did not have the cooling system properly topped off. The heater was empty. But who uses the heater in Southern California?? 2) Had a leak in the water pump, slow at first, got bigger with time. 3) Replaced the radiator cap with a new one, After that the system held pressure. If they don't rate the cfm, usually that means they are pretty low. Once you can get an idea of what the cfm is, then pull the trigger. Idk what the cfm of the factory electric fans are. HOrnbrod Posted June 9, 2017 Share Posted June 9, 2017 The stock 10-blade 97+ curved blade fans pulls ~2250 CFM at HI speed. You're not going to find a reasonable priced aftermarket fan that will fit and pulls more CFM.
