tugalo
some time back the factory weld at the clutch pedal broke loose from the cross shaft that it and the brake pedal ride on. I had it re-welded and it works but i am hearing snapping and popping noises whenever the clutch pedal is depressed. Does anyone know if there is supposed to be a bushing where the clutch actuating rod attaches to the pedal? Also, is there any adjustment to the length of the clutch actuating rod? I ask, because now, i have to push the clutch all the way to the bottom before i can shift gears. If I don't, every now and then I a get gear clash when i shift. DirtyComanche
There is supposed to be a bushing for the clutch master cylinder pushrod. There's also supposed to be one in the pivot up top. If either of them are missing it will make the assembly loose and you may not get enough throw to disengage the clutch. The clutch master cylinder pushrod is not normally adjustable. Jeep Driver
Do you have an aftermarket master?
tugalo
okay, guys thanks for the replies and the schematic. I will make sure that the bushing is in place or go get one if not. I know we put in a LUK clutch when the engine was replaced, but i am not sure if we replaced the master cyl.
