Dakota steering column on ZJ?

remeber the ZJ i got cheap? the steering column and is bad shape and i`m lookign for a replacement, it`s an auto (the so hated 42RE) so i`m going for a column shifter of course, i have seen dakotas with colum shifters and they look suspiciosly similar but are they swappable? there are a couple in the junkyard i can make into a working one

 

after a close inspection to this truck... it`s in overall good shape, engine is good, transmission works as it should, virtually no rust... i`m starting to like it...
