omega_rugal
Yesterday, rigth after coming back from work, after shutting off the truck i noticed a hissing sound coming from the bottom, as i was trying to see what was it, boom! a bang a lots of coolant pouring right between the engine and the clutch housing... which only means one thing... i don`t have enough free time to drop the tranny and fix it,at leats not soon so it`s gonna sit there until then... my poor MJ, you are broken but don`t worry i`ll put you back together... 64 Cheyenne
It's not the freeze plug at the back of the head? And if it is there is a rubber plug that mechanically tightens until you can drive the proper metal one in. My next question, "hissing?"... sounds like you might have another issue going on to cause an overheating/over pressure condition. More info please... Open or closed system? omega_rugal
the one in the back of the head is fine, the coolant comes from inside the clutch housing.... the hissing was right before i heard something poping off, then the coolant came out... open cooling...
