dellstopjeep
I am picking up a new jks trackbar new part #ogs125 and trying to figure out the frame side mounting for the johnny joint. They do not offer a trackbar bracket so I am confused whose drop bracket I will need to use with this trackbar. Searched for pics online but can't seem to find the answer to my stupid question. Jeep Driver
I went and got one from a '98XJ, IIRC, the washer would not sit flat and the taper was different for the MJ. The taper is different for the later models and the sleeve fit better on the later bracket. At any rate, I had movement, the '98 solved that problem. Plus, the paired/plated bolts are nice. It's a good TB, I've had mine for better than two years with no issues. Mine will move to the XJ and I'm buying a new one for the MJ. You'll enjoy it. Jeep Driver
I'll give you a tip. I can't remember exactly........but I used aluminum bar stock, might have been 1/2" x 3/8" x 4". Lay it across the JJ under the bracket, between the two, it acts as a stop and keeps the JJ parallel with the bracket when you go to tighten the jamb nut at the axle end.
