Thepepenator
Hey y'all I just bought myself an aw4 with a tcase for my 1992 4.0 automatic comanche. i am planning on keeping my d35 rear and buying a d30 front with the same gear ratio, which i am more than sure its a 3.55. my question is, what are the lengths of the front and rear drive shafts. I am planning on going to a pull-a-part to get the drive shafts and dif from an Xj but I would like to have the right length of the shafts. I am planning on keeping my baby stock so i wouldnt need a slip yoke eliminator. V/R -Thepepenator
HOrnbrod
You don't mention if it's LWB or SWB. The front you can get at the yard from a similarly equipped XJ donor. HERE is a thread about driveshaft lengths. It's basically useless with all the errors in it. I would just finish up the conversion, then measure for the eye-to-eye distance you need for the rear shaft and have a local driveshaft shop cut and balance your old shaft.
