MeanLemons
So when I pulled the engine out of my 91 MJ, I checked the date stamp and the casting numbers. Both says it's a 96 4.0.... I'm putting in a 1994 ax15 behind it before stuffing the powertrain into my 88 MJ. I know I need to get the 1988 flywheel for it. But I'm curious about the pilot bearing. Where does it go into? In the crankshaft of 96 motor Or into the flywheel? I can imagine that it being a 1988 flywheel and if the bushing goes in it, then I would need a CJ v8 bushing. Otherwise I ll need the different one if I'm putting it in the 96 crankshaft?
Eagle
The pilot bushing or bearing fits the crankshaft.
