pitbull4x4
Have looked and can't find what I'm looking for. Question is when taking the trim off that goes from beside the dash to over the door ,how do you get them off with out breating them ??? I can get all the screws out I see but can't get trim off with out it breaking
SVPete
Besides the obvious screws, on the drivers side, there are two panel fasteners (christmas tree type) over the top of the door opening. The passenger side is held on in approximately the same location by the screws for the overhead handle (if you have one). After that, it is some wiggling to get them completely out since there is a lip on the trim where it slides down between the dash and cab body (which can make for a pretty tight fit). Look between the side of the cab and the side of the dash while wiggling them and you will get a glimpse of them. If you haven't removed the kick panels, I recommend you do so. Airborne Janitor
Those a-pillar trim pieces are a pain to remove. The headliner can be removed without uninstalling the trim, I just let the trim hang down towards the center of the cab and then maneuver the headliner out of place.
