ARareBreed
My hazards blink, but do not stay on long enough for the filaments to illuminate. I think it may be my flasher module. Are the turn signal flasher and hazard flasher different parts, or are the interchangeable?

Are the turn signal flasher and hazard flasher different parts, or are the interchangeable? IIRC they are different however you can switch them and it will work. The only difference is that the turn signal flasher causes the rapid flashing when a bulb is out and the hazard one does not. People have done this when swapping in LED lights because of the lower power draw causing it to flash rapidly even though the bulbs are working. If you are looking at buying a replacement however, I would just buy the correct one.

Eagle
The OEM hazard flasher was not load sensitive, the standard flasher was. If the truck had a tow package, then the turn signal flasher was also the non-load sensitive type.
schardein
Interesting because I noticed my MJ turn signals seemed to be working, but slowly. I've cleaned my bulb connections and ground points on the truck. So I went to my spare parts bin where I had several different flashers (different part numbers, brands, plastic, metal, etc) and tried them all. Some that looked the same and had the same part numbers performed noticeably different. I kept swapping until I found one I liked.
