I am trying to mimic this on my MJ with a 5.2 Magnum.I have blacked out all of the rear defog circuits. All I need is the OD circuit layed out. My plan is to use a WJ shifter with the OD off button on it. I also want to use the Shift light on a 94 XJ dash cluster. I will use an LED bulb in the socket.Back of the boardFront of the boardD2 is a diode (what kind?)R2 is a resistor (what kind?)SW2 is the OD switchLE2 is the OD Off LEDI'll only be using pins 4-7 for the power and what not.PIN 4 is fused powerPIN 5 is Trans OD lamp PCM 37PIN 6 is Trans OD pressure on PCM 10PIN 7 is groundI have a good idea of how it works but I do not know anything about resistors and diodes.Can someone please lay this out and tell what diode and resistor I need? Otherwise, get a better closeup picture of them, I can kinda read the resistor (or you can google the chart) but would like a better picture. It looks like Blue, Yellow, Brown, Gold, which is 640ohms 5% tolerance. I can't make out the diode enough to even give you a guess even. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Blue Gray Red Gold The diode has a blue band with two large blue dots on one side and two small blue dot on the other side. The dots are right below the blue band. Yes there is three different wiring harnesses in my truck. Can someone check this and make sure I did it right? I'm just curious about what and where this switch is and what will it do, turn OD off on the shifter? Also know that this is an over the top swap, for lack of a better word. It will take the 46RH trans out of OD and hold it there until you press the button again or turn the truck off. I want the shift light to be my OD off light. A arrow pointing up seems logical to me. IMHO, unless I don't understand what they're doing, they drew the LED incorrectly in their own schematic, and you have copied that. It should be the other way around. As for figuring out which lead on the LED is positive, it's the longer lead, or the one opposite the side with a flat on it, or you just test it with a battery and be done with it. Anyways, otherwise I'm thinking you've got it right. Hopefully you can test it without risking the TCM. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

DirtyComanche Posted July 13, 2016 Share Posted July 13, 2016 The schematic shows the LED negative leg hooked to positive. I'm guessing because they don't care and didn't want to flip the icon. But the arrow in a diode or LED icon points positive to negative. And I meant PCM, as I am familiar with the Dodge transmission identifiers, although I don't know if you could damage anything. I could be wrong, but the 6 is for relative input torque/rated GVW. A 2 would be weaker, a 7 or 8 stronger. My spare Dodge truck has a 47RE in it, the one before that had a 47RH, which are similar to the 46RH but with a bigger input, different gear cut, and clutch pack differences (and obvious the RE is electrically controlled). tugalo Posted July 14, 2016 Share Posted July 14, 2016 the suggestion of unsoldering existing components is a good one. Just make sure you put a heat sink on the leads between the component and the heat source. From your photos, it appears that you have plenty of room to do so.
