Lift question

Doing a ford 8.8 SOA swap. From stock ride does anyone know how much "around" lift this will net. I want to say I remember reading 6" but can't find it anywhere. If this it true, am I also right remembering that the MJs sit around a half in lower in the front than rear.

It all depends on the springs you have and how sagged they are as well as what kind of perches you got. 5.5-6" is not uncommon.

If you're not going to replace the springs, then the springs don't affect how much lift you get by going SOA. It's typically about 5-1/2", but the 8.8 has larger tubes than the D35 so figure around 6" as a ballpark.

Look at my thread about what arms. I bought the truck like this but I have about 6"-61/2" lift on the front which I am guessing the PO did after doing the rear. If you want any measurements just ask and I'll try to get them for you. I posted a bunch of pictures of the truck when I first joined.

^{and the height of the new spring perches, get the closest to a stock profile you can, I got "heavy duty" perches and they were a 1" to 1.5" taller}
