welcome! :wrench: comancheB.gif

bufflo, ny, huh? is it a long bed or short bed (7ft or 6ft)? you could post that up in the classifieds section. got any pics of the beast?

why are you looking at a leaf conversion? unless you're putting in a differant axle up front, i can't really think of a good reason to go through the trouble. you're looking at less suspension performance and a harsher ride, and leaf springs tend to be more expensive than coil springs.

but hey, 60k miles on a comanche? how'd you find that? just don't be too quick to call it rusty...i've got some pretty good competion for that right here: http://comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5129

once my camera starts to like me ill throw some pics up

its a long bed. an old alcoholic lady drove it to the liquor store and back. so ya 60k on the pig!!!

the reason for the leafs is i have a set already and will be doing a SOA on both front and rear. i could care less about the smoothness as this will only be driven to/from work (5 miles) and a ton of trailrides!!

my daily is a XJ with 3" and 31 so thats my smooth driver. i want this one to make my wifes tits bounce!!! (haha)

Wildman has you beat, you have nothing on him!

i don't know, if you're talking about the far left one here:

then it depends on what you compare. the bed of mine has less left, but less rust on what remains. however, the rest of ine isn't too bad :D

well if you have the parts for the soa set up, i guess why not? i still think it's more work than it's worth. but to each his own.

He has (maybe had?) a red one with so much rust on the bed sides, that there was more left to the inner fenders, and it might as well have been called a "natural flareside bed"!

Gee.....You must be think of the '88 plow MJ, this one -

But this MJ, unlike your, is on the road with plates, along with the swb red '89 ;)

And FYI All MJ are Flairside style beds, there were no Step-sides style.

dfreeman616 - No, I'll say that your has got to be the Rusty box on this site, and the one you refered to on the far left was bad, but that MJ don't exist any more.......well, in smaller pieces, on the pile of scrap

And back to the OP - (Note: On Topic Rockhard)

mikec -

Welcome to the ComancheClub :wavey:

Waiting to see them pictures of that special buy you got.

And I really don't see going to leafs on the front, Ask Dirty about that.

About the plates, mine has them, it's just not moving right now. I work on my projects in their order of priority/budget. I also do most of the work on my sister's WJ and YJ, so that makes less time for me... and yea, I do a good amount of net surfing, but my hands always carry the traces of actual work.

As for the falreside, did you notice I said "natural"? As in mother nature doing what she does best to metal, oxidizing/corroding it?

Anyways, last I saw that red MJ of yours, it was cold, and salty out, not to mention, dark, so it looks way different.

Sorry about that Mike, as well as everyone else, But we can return to your regular programming now.

Make the camera like you! Words don't do the justice!

Took me a little figuring out too...

Mike, try Comanche Club Image Hosting next time, I think you'll find much better results.

The MJ looks good, and not really all that rusty (underside a different story?)

I'll be getting to work on mine eventually, Stuff keeps coming up that gets in the way, and I have to stop being so damn lazy...

Good luck on the MJ build, and eventually, we will wheel the MJ's together, although, I'm betting yours will be first out there.
