When emission stuff has been tampered with, there is no upper limit on how much you will have to pay to fix the problems AND you don't get to register the car/truck till you pass the smog test. I have bought many of MJs and XJs like this on the cheap. It can't hurt to go look at it. Just make sure the smog stuff is present then use a $350 CAT as your way to get the owner down in price.
