johnj92131
Fount the same truck for sale by the seller only priced at $1000: https://www.carsforsale.com/used_cars_for_sale/1969_jeep_j20+pickup_215883461_2 Makes me almost want to buy this and replace my Comanche! Seriously, someone could make some money with this truck (not taliking about plowing snow). Then again, maybe I have been watching too much of the Velocity channel shows. :D
NHMJXJ
Yeah, but it would cost twice that to get it to San Diego. I bet you could find one in better shape out there anyway. As for Velocity, that's just more proof Comcast (local cable) are like drug dealers. They give it to you for free to get you hooked, then they tell you have to pay for it. Velocity is why my cable bill is over a $100/month.

And let me give you my account number and we both get a discount for a while.
GirsMJ86
idk That truck doesn't look to be in that great of shape. And unless there is proof, the mileage probably rolled over actually since it only shows 5 out. J-Trucks don't pull a lot, and it would take more than it's worth to get it back into top shape. Unless whatever this Velocity show is tells you the secret to making a fortune off rust buckets, I wouldn't even give 1k for that thing since I've seen much nicer ones sell for that. I'd grab the grille, badges, and light lenses then walk away. Also to note, the T-18 is a 4spd where 4th is actually OD instead of the standard 3spd w/o OD 1st is a low granny gear that the 3spd doesn't have. Had that bit with OD wrong, not sure why that was stuck in my head.
FrankTheDog
T-18's in jeeps are 1 to 1 in fourth gear. No overdrive. I've had several and still have two.
carnuck
You're thinking of T86A (I think that's the right number) I had one that was 2wd in my Pacer Wagon, a '76 Aspen Wagon (intended to go to Iran before the hostage deal with Jimmy Carter) and my '66 Fairlane (originally from a Granada)
