neohic
All the body panels were professionally fabricated and installed as if the truck was repaired on base, it is solid and straight. To me, this just reads, "I didn't have the knowledge or skill to fix this properly, so this was my solution". :shake:
GirsMJ86
Yup, that paint 100% ruins it. I mean come on, the idiot painted over the emblems, rhino grille, pie plates, the front bumper, everything. Those "steps" are stupid and I wouldn't trust a 5yr old kid to stand on them. All the extra stuff that shouldn't be there is bad. And those repairs look awful. With all the work that would have to be done to truly restore it and undo his trash, I'd offer him $500. If he wanted an M-715 he should have found one rather than ruin a nice J truck. Oh, and it has a Fram on it. The guy clearly knows nothing. 91Pioneer
That truck is total cheeseball now. He wrecked it, completely. He would have been better off not touching it and letting the next owner properly fix it up.
johnny quest
why did he put a step there, and then a stencil that says 'no step'?
Minuit
This is up there with that yellow chopped "baller" MJ in terms of ruined-ness. All I can say is hopefully it wasn't a nice J3000 before he got his hands on it.
a4xnut
A couple of things crack me up about this - besides what's been mentioned... 1. a 1966 J3000 Jeep Willys Gladiator? In 1966, the Willys name was long of the picture - it was the Kaiser Jeep Corporation. 2. "The truck has been restored as a period correct M715 style." Really? Other than being a Jeep truck, this thing has _NO_ M-715 style. It's a weak tip of the hat, at best. Early in my stint in the Marines, we still had a M-715's. I've seen them in several shades of military greens and even in gloss, but NEVER in that shade. I never saw a M-715 (or any other road capable military rig) that had POST SPEED LIMIT painted on it - especially the outside. But then, POST is an ARMY term, and my Army expereince is limited to a year in the Reserves in a Chinook outfit. (We did have maximum speed limits painted on the dash - inside - on some vehicles.) I'm also glad I was never stationed anywhere that had a 25 mph speed limit on the whole base! LOL Here's a nice looking '66 J truck that's for sale, a little spendy, but at least it has the right bed on it to make a better M-715 tribute: http://www.jeeptruck.com/mjs/sale/ads007/ads007.html
