91Pioneer
It's in very good shape. Aside from being a 4-banger it looks like a great buy.
Mjobession
I'd love to buy it. I talked to the guy a couple days ago and he said that you can drive it away. Only thing it needs is a set of rotors he said because its been sitting since march. But I imagine its just surface rust more or less.
mvusse
I will be in the area between Christmas and New Years Eve if you need somebody to take a look at it. If it is as clean as it looks it would definitely be worth the $2k despite being 2wd.
91Pioneer
Yeah the price is very reasonable.
Mjobession
I'm glad you guys are replying. If its not to big of a burden then that would be great. From what I can tell it looks like there's a little rust hole on each side of the box in front of the rear wheels but I'm not to worried about that. I think it would be nice to keep it 2wd for now cause I'm currently a college student so anything with some what decent gas mileage would be great. I could swap it over to make it a 4x4 this summer, a buddy of mine has a 88 with 11inchs of lift and 35" boggers, but he has a couple comanches I can pick parts from. Plus a 6.5" long arm kit I might be able to buy.

mvusse
So I did see it two days ago, but forgot to email the pictures to myself (I left my camera in Ohio, so I took my mother's). Will post them as soon as I get them. The current owner has had the truck for 2 years; it came from either BC or Alberta, can't remember which. Sometime before he got it it had been rustproofed and some body work had been done to it the whole way around. Nonetheless, there is rust. The floor boards are mostly solid, but rusty. Doesn't look like there's any undercoating on them, so they may have been replaced after that. Bottom edge of the tailgate has bubbling paint, bottom front corners of the rear wheel wells each have a hole, some rust showing through the paint at the rear bottom driver side door opening, and the driver side front fender has rot just in front of the door. It has a factory rear bumper that -aside from a small bend on the passenger side- seems in good shape. The hood release cable broke right at the handle, so I could not see the engine bay. Due to a bad battery I could not hear it run. The owner said once he gets the hood open (will try vice grips on the cable first, go in through the headlight if that doesn't work) he will start it and take a video. It will need a battery and brake work done before it's driveable.

Mjobession
First of all thanks you very much for taking time and checking it out. I'm glad you checked it out because it would suck driving 6 hours to buy something that already has had body work done to it not to mention the battery is dead as well. I'm glad that you checked it out. But in the long run I got a new project now! My uncle gave me his 1977 jeep Cj7 but now the only problem is that its in Alabama. Thank you so much for checking it out.
mvusse
I don't see Alabama as a problem, I see Alabama as a vehicle full of rust-free possibilities.
