Got the fronts done. All in all they fit well. I prepped the frame and stiffeners with Eastwood weld thru primer. I tried a cheap off the shelf weld thru primer first. don't DO THIS. Created such a dirty weld. Ended up starting over basically because of it. Anyways here are some pics. I used a handheld torch to heat up the old under coating. Made it super easy to just scrape off. Invest in lots of c clamps. There are way more bends in the unibody then I anticipated. fa470cf2509fe4d1c37df93087c20638.jpgfa5ae19ea8d6ef77cfb61bd40dfde643.jpg75e9f203d517ff898cd8e100e879413c.jpgfc364b3907a6a7fd8a31a33695d110bc.jpg

it seemed like they never even fit a set onto an MJ.  the cutouts were all wrong, the bolt holes for the trans crossmember didnt line.  just general fitment was garbage.  the kits is from T&M Fabrication.  i sent them emails so that they could hopefully fix the issues.

i am picking up some new axles.

front will be a full width HP44 with 5.13s, alloy shafts, yukon super joints, TNT truss, spool and crossover steering.  Rear is a 9" with 5.13s, 35 spline alloy shafts, disc brakes, setup for 4-link, and an ARB.  will be staying on 35s for the time being but 37s will be in the future.

I was half expecting you to say something along the lines of "keeping them for a mild build". :laughin:

I'd love to build one for the wife and eventually will it's just not in the cards right now. Plus my axles belong in a wheeler and I wouldn't build another wheeler.

Haven't updated in a while. Had a son last month so eventually I'll need to convert the MJ to a 3 or 4 seater. Otherwise been wheelin it mainly. Swapped in a dual diaphram booster and Durango master. Can lock all 4 up with ease now. Crazy how much of a difference it made. Got a hydro assist kit coming from psc so steering will be nicer.
