Has anybody here used the Rubicon Express hand Throttle Kit?

I was browsing quadratec and stumbled upon this nifty little thing. Was just wondering if anybody here has used one and how it worked for them. It defenatly looks like it could be helpful when it comes to the situations were you need to brake throttle and cluth nearly all at the same time.

i have one and love it, but don't expect it to fit your shift knob without some clearancing. i had to hack a knob to make it work.

 

also i removed the ratchet feature so that it wouldn't hold the throttle open because after maybe 20 minutes i realized that could be dangerous.

 

fun to have though, and REALLY helps you be smooth with the truck in 4lo when on rough terrain where you would normally get jostled around and end up being wild with the throttle.

Does this kit allow you to still use the foot pedal or once installed is it habd throttle only?

I'd recommend you try it out PRIOR to going on any trails (especially with someone infront of you on the trail); as it does take some getting used to.
