BIGHEEP
I know the spacing is a little off but has anyone ever run an XJ rear axle under an MJ without moving the perches. I am just looking for a way to even out my MJ a little better than stock ride height in the rear and 5.5"+ in the front. The only driving it would see this way is around the yard until I put the Toy 8" under it in the spring. I am not real worried about the spring eye bushings because the leafs are shot anyway. Just want to know if it will fit.
DirtyComanche
I don't think you could. My spring perches are too wide by about 3/4", and that made if very difficult to get the shackles bolted up. But, you could and just leave the shackles unbolted and resting against the frame. I wouldn't move it by any means other than pushing. Not worth the bother, until you get the toy axle, really.
Pete M
I know it was done once, but it is a very bad idea. Haven't clue if it can be done on any MJ or if it was a special case. Jeep on! --Pete
Cooter
My MJ was setup that way when I bought it. It will bolt in, but I wouldn't suggest doing it.
