BORDENCOMANCHE
I know the not so easy but straight forward method of fixing this is to buy a new mainfold, but the canadian verson of uncle sam doesn't pay me enough to do so. I busted my exhuast pipe off right at the flange, the top piece of the flange (manifold side) came right off. I was thinking... Can I just ram an exhaust pipe expander on the "good" pipe after cutting off the flange and clamp that bad boy off? Does anybody know if the sizes are the same. Exhaust is not my speciality. AmJay
If you have to push the exhaust pipe up an inch or so to get it over the exhaust manifold and clamp it it may not work since it crosses over to the other side of the engine and I don't think there is that much room above where it crosses over. Seems like the oxygen sensor is close to the end of the manifold too so you won't have much to room there either. You'll never know until you try it and if it doesn't work you'll be buying an exhast manifold and the exhaust pipe. I would take it to a muffler shop and see if they can weld the flange back on. comanche09
Make sure they remove the O2 sensor before they try to weld it or you'll be buying a new one.
BORDENCOMANCHE
What about one of those exhaust flex pipe patch things I can buy for 15 dollars. Slide it down over my exhaust pipe then back up to the manifold, I believe it looks like I have 2 1/2 inches of pipe before the 02 sensor.
