Boilermaker Posted May 5, 2010 Share Posted May 5, 2010 You don't necessarily need the rods from a 4.2L, i reused the rods from my 4.0L. The 4.0L rods are a little lighter and supposedly a little stronger. But the main reason i used them was because it allowed me to use my first choice of piston.
