airspeed
I have a Fel-Pro intake/exhaust gasket that has a perferated metal side and a paper side. This gasket is symetrical and can mount either way, I don't see any markings for orientation? Any ideas?
JeepcoMJ
ports only line up properly one way, IIRC.
HOrnbrod
I ran into this awhile back on a header install and contacted FelPro. The foil (metal) side goes toward the manifold. Oh, and check the alignment of the exhaust ports w. the gasket. I had to do a little Dremel trimming for the HO head. airspeed
I can see where the ports need a bit of trimming, I would certinaly clean that up. My thought on the foil side woud be to put that against the cylinder head. To help eliminate the galvanic response between dissimular metals you wouldn't want that steel bridging between aluminum and cast iron? But it would be hard to argue with Fel-Pro.
