Donor Vehicles for Center Console

I'm at the tail end of reassembling the interior on my '90 MJ and the small center console (for use with bench seat) is shot. It's cracked/broken in 4 different places and rather than JB welding it back together I'd like to find something else. I used JY XJ carpet in the interior so the cutout for the late 80s/early 90s center console is there. I didn't grab the console because I didn't think it would look good cut down to fit in the bench seat interior. What else would be a good donor? Early ZJ?

IMHO i'd just find some 2 door xj seats put your brackets on and get a full center console ;)

AFAIK ZJs never had a front bench seat. XJs did, and of course MJs. Hard to find a decent one, but they show up occasionally on Ebay. I think this is your only option, unless there's an aftermarket one out there. :dunno:

Many base model XJ's even with buckets had the mini console that our MJ's with bench seats have. I'd look for one out of an XJ.

I took mine out to replace it for a full lenght one from an XJ

It's rare, (IIRC police package only) but yes, some XJ's had bench seats.

A lot of the government (state and federal) XJs also had bench seats. :cheers:
