attaboybob
The ole MJ doesn't like the cooler mornings 4.0 cranks but doesn't turn. just about ready to give up, it turns over. then, it is revving high, for about 4-5 minutes. I changed the fuel filter and plugs. air filter is fine, fuel is fine, battery is fine. any ideas fellas? ...BOB
87manche
I'd check the IAC, and clean it up. THen move on to vacuum , maybe the cold has opened up a crack in a vac line somewhere.
512tr
Also check the water/air temperature sensors, their job is to tell the computer that the engine is cold, and the cold outside air temp. The computer use these inputs to give the engine a rich gas-mixture needed in cold weather. (as the choke on a carb engine). The computer also tells the IAC to open and pass more air to the engine, in order to increase the cold idle rpm.
