bighause
Where did you but your new manifold and how well did it fit? I am considering buying one of the following manifolds, they might even be the same brand for all I know. http://www.partsgeek.com/gbproducts/BN/ ... shelbyluvv
I just picked up my APN header this week. It looks just like a Banks for about a 1/3 of the price. It cost me $150 or so shipped. I really like the limited lifetime warranty. http://www.ineedparts.com/auto-parts/ex ... ifold.html I hear they can be a real bear to get a couple bolts on the bottom tightened down. EDIT: I see you are working with a 89. This Header will required mods to work on your truck.
CWLONGSHOT
Mine on my '89 is cracked and leaking badly. I REALLY notice it now that the water pump and idler are SO quiet!! I was just going to pull it and reweld it up. But at under $150 for a replacement, guess I'll change my plans!! :smart: I have done a couple header installs on 4L jeeps and the one thing you MUST have is a set of ratchet wrenches. Also someone with skinny arms is quite helpful. I have had a young neighbor hood kid help me with the later twice now. :clapping: CW
KYMJ
I've bought 4 of the e-bay manifolds over the years. The only problem I've had was the riser tube on one I bought for my 89 had to be bent slightly to line up. They've all held up otherwise.
bighause
I'm glad to hear that they bolt up easily. I replaced a bad header on my old CJ with a stock manifold, it didn't fit very well and was a pain to get it to seal to the head. I know from experience that those bolts are fun to get to :fs1:
knever3
The website says if your year truck is not over '91 that it Will not fit and don't bother ordering. Has anyone tried this on a Renix motor yet? Let us all know because this is a good deal!!
