ratrapp
my plastic shim is new but there is a clip that fits on the threads of the armrest.this isnt the bottom where 2 screws hold it on,it's the top of armrest.

maddzz1
Are you talking about the hockey stick style armrests? You mean the clip that is inside the door where you insert the threaded screw before you twist the armrest down to screw the bottom two screws to the door? If so, the junkyard is your best bet. I forgot to grab one of them clips when I pulled some black door panels for a friend when he switched from reg style armrests to the hockey stick style. I can ask him what he used to fix the problem, I think he used something besides the original clip. I will PM him now EDIT: He said he used a larger plastic plate screw clip. Like the ones used on bumpers.

AmJay
I'm not sure what metal clip you're talking about? The parts comanche that I have probably has it. Mac
ratrapp
if you have the hockey style armrest there is a threded stud at the top of the armrest.when you take the 2 screws out of the bottom of the armrest you have to rotate the armrest to remove it,unless the clip has broke that sets on the threaded stud.it locks in a plastic insert in the door which i have new ones for.if you have a good one,i'll gladly buy the whole armrest(color doesn't matter at this point). maddzz1
I'm not sure what metal clip you're talking about? The parts comanche that I have probably has it. Mac The clip holds the threaded rod in so it doesnt come out of the door when you pull the door closed with the grab handle on the hockey stick style arm rests
