Interior panel questions ?

Recommended Posts

I have noticed some of you guys have the rear interior panel under back glass . My truck came with the bench seat

that I swapped to buckets and does not have that panel . What is that panel called ? Where can I find one ?

Does anyone have one , pref. gray or black ?

Or should I just make one ?

Thanx

It is actually two separate pieces one plastic that goes directly under the window, and a cardboard one with carpet that goes to the floor from there. They both attach with clips, the plastic piece attaches with clips similar to the door panels, and the cardboard one has a type of spring clip. You could probably fab the cardboard/carpet one but the other you are probably gonna have to find at a salvage yard :wall:, which sounds a lot easier than it is, or purchase. Not sure if it was standard on all models or not. :dunno:

Hope this helps a little.

I don't seem to have a photo of it :hmm: but I removed that panel long ago and replaced it with a sheet of 3/4" plywood bolted to the cab and then a piece of speakerbox carpet glued over it Now the back wall is useful! I can hang fire extinguisher brackets and such instead of that crap rolling around on the floorl. :D

here you can see the carpet and that I covered the plywood and then on up all the way to the window edge.

I might know someone with the black carpet piece, I will ask him. In my MJ I think the plastic piece was rattling due to a broken clip and the genius that used to own it must have thought it was the carpet piece and put two drywall screws thru it and right thru the back of the cab. I ASSume, to hold it in place. :fs1: :wall: :wall:
