I'm going to look at a 91 swb 4.0 4x4 5 spd and was wondering what the gear ratio is most likely going to be. I know the older 4.0's ran 3.07's but can't remember if there was any difference in the newer models. Geonovast Posted December 18, 2009 Share Posted December 18, 2009 From the factory: 4.0/5 speed = 3.07 4.0/automatic = 3.55 These were not changed over the years, the only difference from the factory would stem from a special order from the customer.
