Akula69
The window installation in these (XJ or MJ) doors is relatively straightforward. 1) Remove the interior door panel, arm rest, window crank, and assembly that locks/opens door. If you have electric windows.locks you will need to remove the harness plug. 2) Remove the speaker and inner door seal. 3) Push window crank back on, and roll the main window down, then remove the two torx screws at the top of the door frame that secure the triangle (fixed or operating) window. Remove the two bolts (10mm I believe) that hold the bottom frame of this triangle window as well. This frame is also the front track/support for the main window. 4) Remove the outer window belt rubber (along bottom of window on outside of door). 5) Depending on the size of your arms, you might need to roll the window up slightly to access the window securing fastener. This fastener is at the center of the window glass, and has a peculiar torx bolt on one side and a (usually white in color) plastic nut on the back. Once you have loosened it you will need to hold the glass with one hand and remove the nut with the other (so the glass does not drop and break). Once free, push the glass up and out of the window opening, gently angling it so you can pull it free of the opening. Install is the reverse of above.
