Eagle
WHAT IS THE BEST AND EASIEST WAY 2 LIFT MY 88 COMANCHE The best way is not the easiest way, nor is it the least expensive way. There must be a couple of hundred threads on just this forum discussing various ways to lift a Comanche. I suggest you do some reading first, then decide what questions you have that our members haven't already answered, and ask your questions. Be specific. The question you asked is impossible to answer.

BJA814
We need some type of sticky for lift set-ups. It could include parts used, rough price, likes/dislikes, and things you would do different. Anyone else thinks this would be a help to the forum?
Pete M
I prefer not to use stickies because: -no one ever reads stickies -everyone's situation is different and there are numerous ways of lifting so I prefer to tailor each response to the owner's specific conditions -there's tons of info already here in the archives -no one ever reads stickies
Geonovast
-no one ever reads stickies -no one ever reads stickies Then why do we have so many? :rotfl2:

GATOR88
WELL I WOULD LIKE TO GO AT LEAST 35 OR BIGGER. I HAVE 410 GEARS 5SPEED TRANNY I LIKE THE LOOK OF BOGGERS BUT OUT HERE IN THE SWAMP I LIKE THE GROUND HAWGS IN THE MUCK. THE BEST AND CHEAPEST LIFT I FOUND IS AROUND A GRAND FOR 6.5 INCHES

mvusse
WELL I WOULD LIKE TO GO AT LEAST 35 OR BIGGER. I HAVE 410 GEARS 5SPEED TRANNY I LIKE THE LOOK OF BOGGERS BUT OUT HERE IN THE SWAMP I LIKE THE GROUND HAWGS IN THE MUCK. THE BEST AND CHEAPEST LIFT I FOUND IS AROUND A GRAND FOR 6.5 INCHES Please turn off caps lock. It makes your post difficult to read, and is like you are shouting. For 35 or bigger with a 5 speed you'll want steeper than 4.10 gears. If you have a Dana 35 rear axle, forget it and upgrade. 35" would probably be the limit for the front axle without needing to upgrade it, I run 33x12.50 at 6.5" lift and cut my front fenders to clear the tires. Other option would be bump stopping, but I didn't want to limit my up travel. With 35 you may even have to cut the rear as well. I also suggest not going higher than 6.5", so you're going to have to either cut or bump stop. The cheapest lift kit for 6.5" is about a grand, like you stated, and not complete. The best lift kit for 6.5" is about double that. Buy a lift kit. You can start at http://www.rustysoffroad.com Stay away from Rusty's. Low quality, horrendous customer service, and having broken parts covered under warranty is a nightmare. Not my own experience, as I never dealt with them but when 20 people all post the same thing independently I start to believe it. Rubicon Express, BDS and Rough Country have a good track record. Hell Creek is a member on here and will give members a discount I believe. He sells his own 3" and 4.5" rear leaf springs and carries Rough Country components for everything else. I've never had trouble with Rock Krawler and RuffStuff Specialties products either.

You may well be in the minority. soooo many times we have to tell people to post a price in the classifieds. soooo many times I get emails asking if I have any stickers or such. and once in a while we get a post from someone asking what they should do since their hood won't pop up. :shake:
