88elimnator
Does anyone know how many quarts an AW4 trans takes I just put it back in after doing an engine swap and it won't do anything, I've already put 5 quarts in it. Thanks
Geonovast
Did you remember to bolt the converter to the flexplate?

Geonovast
So you didn't let any fluid out of the tranny at all? Did you leave the converter in the bellhousing, or did you pull it out with the motor?
88elimnator
I pulled it out with the motor drained all the old fluid put 5 quarts of new fluid in and it don't even try to go into gear

dasbulliwagen
If you didnt refill the converter before reinstall, start the truck, let it run in neutral and keep rechecking the fluid level, and add if needed.
