  1. I have a 1988 Comanche pioneer that I just bought and when I turned the wheel all the way to the right I heard a pop/click sound and then my steering wheel had a little bit of play but my tires weren’t moving. I had to pry the sway bar off of the track bar in order to have motion in my steering wheel again and be able to move the wheels. I’m wondering what the previous owner did, but more so how I can fix it. Hopefully the pictures explain it better than I did. Thank you for the help first picture is before and second two are after I turn all the way to the right. Last one is upside down but a panned out view of the front end.
  2. Just joined the forum and am a proud owner of a 1986 with only 110k miles! This is the 2.8L carbureted (I know I hear it's one of the worse engines.) It runs strong but needs some tlc in certain areas. Just want to say that I am brand new to jeeps, and trucks period. More of a car guy. Anyways just looking for some good info, like what vendors are the best for this vehicle. So far I've seen stuff like factorychryslerparts.com and jcwhitney.com. Are these good or no? Specifically I am looking for a battery tray with supporting hardware because the battery is literally only held down with wires right now. Found one on factorychryslerparts for about 60$, should I pull the trigger on this. Also, the intake tube from the radiator cowl to the air filter housing was completely deteriorated. The only thing that was left was the coiled spring thing which I regrettfully threw away. I know I could jigger-rig up something with some sort of dryer hose but I'm looking for something better. Also looking for a good track bar and track bar mount, and engine mounts. It has about a 2in lift on it btw. Not looking to dump a lot of money right now, and not looking to do some serious off roading. Just the monthly camping trip/ hauling my dirt bike/ or just goin up to the mountains every once in awhile. Thanks for any advice in advance guys.

  4. I bought my MJ with the lift already installed. (no mechanic at all guys so bare with me) I am assuming its a six inch lift by the height of the truck as i am 6'4 and cannot hardly get in it. This weekend i broke the Track bar. Whom ever installed it didnt screw it in but about 3 threads and one good bump and it stripped it out. what are the differences in the track bars. Looking on like the internet they appear to be around 150 bucks. But our local 4 x 4 shop said i need one that cost 265.00. Is there really that much difference between the cheap one and the 265.00 one??? Skyjacker i think is the brand he is trying to sell me. I'm an idiot please help! :)
