  1. So I got rid of the street comanche a few months back as you all are aware of. I sold my immaculate XJ as well the other day, for this. Its a 1990 Comanche pioneer, it has the metric tonne package. Its got a locked D44 rear and d30 front with chromolys and geared to 4:10. It is dark blue, it's got custom metalcloak TJ long arms up front with there 6" coils. SOA in rear and all around a 5-6 inch lift. Now the major stuff: Built LM7 5.3 from a 2005 silverado with just under or around 400HP. A built 700R4 and a new/rebuilt NP241 T-Case. All the swap was done using Novak adapt parts and painless harnesses. It still needs some work, its not 100% done or perfect. But here we go on round 2 of an MJ for me.
  2. Fell on hard times and ended up having to sell my 86 comanche project. Now things are looking up, and i have the means to buy another one. The only condition being this one must run and drive, as we need a reliable vehicle to get us to work lol. I'm looking to spend around $1000-1300. Possibly a little more for a great truck. Looking for one around north georgia, but I will travel to the surrounding states for a good deal. I've been checking craigslist and ebay with no real luck. Thats why I'm hoping this forum can help out, maybe point me in the right direction. All I need is a decent truck that will get the wife and I back and forth to work and school, haul a few loads of mulch, and maybe pull a small trailer with a lawn mower. 4x4 is a must. I can't settle for 2wd due to where I live. I'd love a 4.0 with a stick, but I can settle for 2.5l with an auto. If anyone has one for sale, knows someone who does, or can just point me in the right direction, that would be great. Thank you.
  3. Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum. I just picked up my first Comanche yesterday. Snagged a non-running 86 4x4 auto model for $500. I wanted to start this thread so I had a place to post progress on the truck, as well as get feedback and tips. Plans for the truck so far are to get it running, repair any rust, paint, bedliner, wheels and tires, and then use it as a daily driver to keep the miles down on my TJ. Eventually I would like to do a lift, bigger tires, and a motor swap. The truck will mostly be used to drive back and forth to work, hauling loads of mulch, and the occasional light trail riding. I will post pictures as soon as I figure out how. Thanks everyone.
