Might be on TV soon. Signed up for this veteran road trip in an Rv cross country. Would be in April/May. My baby would be about a month old then. I made it to the final round of contestants and need to make a video interview. Since I'm kinda homeless I'll shoot it in my Cherokee. If I make it I'll be wearing some Maverick Movement shirts. But is there a club shirt too? That's be cool advertising. I'll keep you posted.

I hope you get the gig.

It REALLY upsets me to see so many vets struggling out there.  So many stories of the VA and other supposed veteran support agencies failing our vets.

May I make a suggestion?  Look up OathKeepers.org.  Join up and look at networking with other members in your area to help secure a job and possibly other avenues for housing and such.  Lots of good Vets in that organization willing to help and/or have some good advice or direction for ya. Many of them are business owners who look to employ vets.

you jeep would be the least of your concern right now. You have a family to support and you don't have a roof over your head......

Damn Zeb, that's kind of a douchebag thing to post.......

The jeep IS the roof over his head at the moment and he's clearly stated his situation is temporary and looking up.

He needs support, not a scolding.

Not trying to be that "guy" I just am trying to state the obvious, The jeep is a luxury, a roof and food in his family's mouth is a necessity. It all about priority. I wasn't trying to beat the guy when he is down just trying to tell it how it is. I hope to the fullest that he bounces back from this 110%. But thats not possible when you are spending the extra money you have on a "luxury" instead of saving it up to get a deposit for a place to rent or for a nice suit to go to interviews in. Also, I AM trying to support him to the fullest, I was one of the people that donated money to him to keep his family under a roof.

As was I. When I see talk of him blowing money on Jeep junk it pisses me off. I see him in the classifieds all the time. I've called him out as well. I am STILL active duty Marine Corps. Maybe it's a pride thing but I sure as $h!t would not be posting on a forum if I was in that situation. I would be working.

I find it hard to believe that the VFW and other vet groups won't help find him a job. I hope for that baby's sake he gets his priorities straight.

I was in his shoes once, pregnant GF no real home....

Then single and paying for child support next 18 years...

I'd have to say I didn't start using common sense till I was over thirty, sounds like he has a ways to go...

Probably puttin Rockwells under his truck with the money that he has coming anyways....

Gotta keep priorities straight damn it!

Despite post in classifieds, haven't bought a single thing here in months. Don't even remember last thing I actually bought here or actual convenience. Cigarettes are a convenience but I buy the cheap stuff at a reservation. Taxes are due in a week or two. Then I can repay people from gofundme or donate elsewhere. Depending on how you all see it I bought another Jeep as a convenience too. Its a 96 ZJ for my girlfriend and kid. Wanted something with airbags and generally safer than the XJ and MJ. I used my state return to get that. I'm also selling off the MJ possibly, need to get it to sell it. Also selling off my personal collection of Boy Scout books. One is worth over $800 on eBay, selling all mine for $1250. That's over a dozen since I have every edition made. I been looking at apartments that I can split with family to make it cheap on all of us. I think that's everything to rant about by me. Find out in a few weeks about TV show. Keeping y'all posted on this stuff. Feel free to ask sellers if I bought anything.

Or he could re-up, get married....nuthin wrong with that.

Re-up isn't an option. Got out medically and standards are too high with no major conflict going on. Marriage is an option when I get the $40 or so. I'll get an extra $200 a month from VA when married and have a kid. Not making excuses. Just clearing things up. Got a temp job soon shoveling snow, yay my back lol.

Thanks for the support in every way again guy.

That's too bad. Medical discharge?

Yup. Developed some breathing problems in Afghanistan half way through. They are calling it asthma. I suspect its something else. We'll find out one day. Fairly uncommon for adults to get asthma overnight. Find out about TV in like two weeks.
