HELL CREEK LEAF SPRINGS

Recommended Posts

I'm looking to my Comanche a few inches. I do not want to do SOA swap because I'm afraid it will net more lift than I want. I would really like to use the Hell Creek 3" lift springs for the rear. I have read on here how guys use those or the General leafs. What i am wondering is if the ride quality is comparable to stock with either of these lift springs. I am not too concerned with the hauling capacity, because i will be running air bags. I use this truck as a DD but like to take it camping/light trail riding every now and then. My plan is to run a 3" lift SUA with a 32" tire.

thanks again for the help guys!

Just ordered mine a few weeks ago.  Had stock leafs with an add-a-leaf, ordered the Metric Ton leafs, hoping for about 2-3" of lift, along with an improved ride.

Is there much difference between the 3" lift and the MT springs?

I will report back on mine when they get in.

I got the 3" hellcreek in rear with RE 3.5" in front. The rear leafs actually gave me about 4.5" when new but after several hauls with atv in bed it has settled at around 4". The ride also has gotten better with time for break in,mine were never harsh, but remember they will be stiffer than 25 year old springs. I can not speak for general springs, as for Hellcreek A1 product and customer service. Not to mention the owner of the company drives a comanche and is a member of CC!

I purchased the General Springs with the military wrap.  I got about 3" of lift from the old sagging leafs.  My only issue is that when I run over a penny, I can tell if Abe had trimmed his beard that day.  They are (currently) very stiff.

I added 2" pucks up front to even out the look.  It now has a mild rake.
